I can't be the only one with a list of dream animals that I would love to bring into NZ from overseas.

Firstly, I would love to import some really top class purebred Irish Draught fillies/mares and some purebred semen as I love the breed and really think there needs to be some new Irish blood brought into this country. Both the purebreds and sporthorses are so talented at a lot of the olympic disciplines, as well as showing and generally having fun and hacking about on. Would love more people to see the benefits of owning an Irish horsie BigGrin

I would also love to bring in some of my favourite show pony lines from back in the UK. It would be hard to know which ones to choose though as I love so many of the studs!

All just a dream at the moment, but you never know..... Flapper

What would you bring into the country if you had a bottomless pot of money? Cool

I had to Google that name! I like how substantial they are- a few of their characteristics are similar to the IDs

Sad that they're so rare :( I wonder if it's because people just aren't aware of them...

American Saddlebred or National Show Horse (A Saddlebred x Arab)

Love that long vertical shoulder and arm bone with extremly high point of shoulder, most spectacular movement ever.

Theres ONE black NSH yearling colt in NZ currently-he is stunning, I wish I would win Lotto...

I think they just got their stallion back, Platinum Park Playboy(imp) (American Saddlebred), hes been put over a variety of mares, all with stunning results. Smoke the NSH is the first out of a purebred arabian mare. I think they are looking at selling above stallion to the right home, or standing him with someone that can progress his ridden career, as they need his stud fees etc to cover his training costs. Absolutly fantasic opportunity to the right person...

If I had the money etc I'd want to keep Smoke entire too..will try to dig up a pic so you can see what I'm going on about!

We have a Irish Draught X-Bred LOL

I'd want to import & breed Bashkir Curly's. The curly coat is hypoallergenic, so people with horse allergies can still have a horseLaugh

Money no option I would be looking at importing a purebred Cleveland Bay mare from the UK (or possibly the US) since there aren't any in NZ.
